In accordance with Section 373.536, Florida Statutes, the Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) has completed its Five-Year Water Resource Development Work Program (Work Program) for Fiscal Year 2019.
The Work Program describes the SRWMD's implementation strategy and five-year funding plan for the water resource and water supply development components of the approved North Florida Regional Water Supply Plan (NFRWSP). The projects listed in the Work Program demonstrate progress in implementing projects identified in the NFRWSP or support the Plan's objectives. Also, the implementation of projects listed in the NFRWSP supports the recovery strategy for the Lower Santa Fe and Ichetucknee Rivers and Priority Springs (LSFI).
The District believes that this work program is adequate to further the recovery of LSFI, to ensure water is available to timely meet the water supply needs of existing and future reasonable-beneficial uses for a 1-in-10 -year drought event, and to avoid the adverse effects of competition for water supplies based on the District's established MFLs.
The finalized version of the Five-Year Water Resource Development Work Program is located within the Consolidated Annual Report.
