Heavy Rain In GA Causes Minor Flooding in North FL

Storm rainfall that totaled over 10 inches in some parts of south Georgia has resulted in river flooding in some of the District's northern counties, especially on the Withlacoochee River. The storm has also led to rising water levels on the Steinhatchee, Fenholloway and Econfina Rivers.

Water levels on the Withlacoochee at Pinetta have already risen over 10 feet since December 2nd and are projected to continue rising. Steadily rising water levels are expected all along the Suwannee River south of the junction with the Withlacoochee throughout this week.

Visit the District's River and Lake Level's page for more information.
