September Kicks Off Fall ... and Height Of Hurricane Season

Saturated conditions in wetlands and areas that are normally drained by sinkholes mean that flash flooding can occur when there is intense rainfall. Many residents in affected areas are reporting standing water in normally dry areas. September is the height of hurricane season but everyone needs to be aware that local conditions may change rapidly even if we are not directly affected by a tropical storm or hurricane.
