Statewide Environmental Resource Permitting (SWERP)
In April 2012, Governor Rick Scott signed legislation granting the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) the authority to create one statewide rule for the ERP program. DEP and Florida's five water management districts worked to produce the statewide rule found in Chapter 62-330, Florida Administrative Code. The Statewide rule became effective in October of 2013 and can be found here.
Currently, DEP and Florida's five water management districts are embarking on Phase II of SWERP. Most changes to the rules that became effective in 2013 will be performed by DEP.
DEP will host two rulemaking workshops via webinar. All interested parties are invited to participate.
