LIVE OAK, FLA., FEBRUARY 2, 2024 – The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) has launched a new online portal that will make it easier for residents to check the status of their permit applications.
Located at MySuwanneeRiver.com, the newly developed Notice of Receipt of Applications and Notice of Permit Issuance webpages condense the District’s E-Permitting website and provides applicants with the information they need in one click. Each page shows only the applications received in the last 30 days, and only those permits issued in the prior 30 days.
“The permit application process should be an easy one,” said Hugh Thomas, executive director of the District. “For those looking to check the status of their permit, this provides easy access to the information they need without having to comb through several webpages to find it.”
Older permit applications – those more than 30 days old – will still need to be searched through the E-Permitting website, located here.
The new pages can be found under the Doing Business, then Permits and Rules tab on the website.
The mission of the Suwannee River Water Management District is to protect and manage water resources using science-based solutions to support natural systems and the needs of the public. Headquartered in Live Oak, Florida, the District serves 15 surrounding north-central Florida counties.
