LIVE OAK, FLA., Mar. 13, 2017 – The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) has opened the Crossway Branch Trailhead on RO Ranch Tract for public equestrian use. The Crossway Branch Trailhead is located at 2128 SE CR 357 in Lafayette County. View PDF
Multiple trails are available through the Crossway Branch Trailhead. Riders can ride the laid-back, easy-to-negotiate Home Trail, while the more experienced rider can ride the remote Swamp Trail or River Trail through picturesque old Florida flora and fauna along Cross Way Branch and Owl Creek. However, no camping or other ranch facilities are open for use, including the bathhouse.
RO Ranch Tract is managed by the District along with more than 160,000 acres of public lands. For more information on RO Ranch and recreational opportunities throughout the District, visit www.mysuwanneeriver.com and look under the tab “District Lands.”
