LIVE OAK, FLA., Sept. 11, 2019 – On Sept. 11, 2019, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointments of Charles Keith and Richard Schwab to the Suwannee River Water Management District (District) Governing Board.
“We appreciate Governor DeSantis reappointing Mr. Keith and Mr. Schwab to continue their service to the District,” said Hugh Thomas, Executive Director for the District. “They are knowledgeable and passionate about our mission of protecting our natural resources and will guide the District with their experience.”
Keith, of Lake City, is the president of American Pawn Brokers, Inc. He received a bachelor’s degree from Armstrong State and represents the District as an at-large member. Keith is reappointed to a four-year term.
Schwab, of Perry, is the vice president of M.A. Rigoni, Inc. He is a third-generation logger and has worked in the forest industry for over 25 years. He represents the coastal river basin part of the District and is appointed to a four-year term.
Both members are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
The mission of the Suwannee River Water Management District is to protect and manage water resources using science-based solutions to support natural systems and the needs of the public. The District holds true to the belief of water for nature, water for people. Headquartered in Live Oak, Florida, the District serves all or part of 15 surrounding north-central Florida counties.
